Description

I lived up in the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years just north of Seattle in Bellingham. It rained almost every day there, but on the spring and summer days when the sun was shining, the flowers were magnificently colorful and absolutely striking. I always felt that flowers growing there must be brighter and have so much more saturation of color than anywhere else. And right after a rain, they were at their absolute best. This 18" x 18" x 1.75" deep painting is on a DaVinci birchwood cradle, which is an upgrade from a canvas in strength, stability and structure. It's a beautiful substrate to paint on and looks fabulous. The sides are painted black and the all surfaces are covered with a UV-resistant satin varnish.
